Trips & Visits

Our School Year is bursting with weekly activities, visitors and visits in all subject areas and below are just a few of the examples of how learning at Holywell is taken outside the classroom.


  • A trip to Hazard Alley reinforces safety and offers a great opportunity for pupils to experience potential dangers
  • The Cecil Higgins Experience helps us get up close and personal with how life was like in Victorian times


  • Cross curricular links are reinforced between Science and PSHCE during a 4 day residential adventure to Osmington Bay
  • The visiting Rainforest offers pupils a fantastic opportunity to touch, feed and smell the exotic animals and creatures that inhabit the Rainforest
  • The Tudor Man brings the Tudor times to life



  • Our residential trips venture to France for Year 7 pupils with a 5 day trip to the Paris region taking in the cultural side as well as visiting the Stade de France and Parc Asterix


  • Learning is taken outside the classroom for Year 8 pupils for Geography and History, with a residential trip to Swanage
  • Gifted and Talented historians and geographers hone their skills with trips to Warwick Castle and assessing local planning and development
